What is Cytogenetics?

Cytogenetics is the study of chromosomes, especially in regard to their structure and behavior. Clinical cytogeneticists study the impact of chromosomal abnormalities on human health. Screening for and identifying complex genetic disorders requires multiple analytical methods in order to provide a comprehensive diagnosis. ICDL provides a wide selection of genetic diagnostic and consultative services to clients.
